Marouane Chamakh (Arabic: born on 10 January 1984) is a Moroccan-French footballer who plays for Arsenal as a striker. Although born and raised in France, he chose to play international football for Morocco due to his Moroccan parentage.

On May 21, 2010, Chamakh completed his move to Arsenal, on a free transfer, which took effect on July 1, 2010. He made his debut in a pre-season friendly against Barnet FC on 17th July 2010, coming on as a substitute. He converted a penalty in a pre-season friendly against SC Neusiedl 1919 on 27th July, 2010 for his first goal and followed this by scoring on his home debut against Milan, in the pre-season Emirates Cup tournament.
