Holger Badstuber Best Young German Footballer Plays
Holger Badstuber, born 13 March 1989 in Memmingen) is a German footballer who is currently playing as a defender for Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga and internationally for Germany.

From 2002 to 2006, Badstuber progressed through the youth setup at SSV Ulm, and, from 2006 to 2007, through the youth setup at Bayern Munich. He played for Bayern's reserve team before signing professional terms in July 2009, along with team-mate Thomas Müller, having been an unused substitute in a number of first-team matches in the 2008–09 season. He made his debut in the first league game of the 2009–10 season, against Hoffenheim and has been a regular in defence. He scored his first senior goal, a powerful free kick, against Borussia Mönchengladbach on 4 December 2009. A centre back by training, he has been playing out of position at left back, a problematic position so that Philipp Lahm can cover at right back, another problematic position. The youngster has impressed so far and, along with Lahm and Schweinsteiger, are the few players to have started every league game since matchday 1.
