Owen Lee Hargreaves (born 20 January 1981) is a association football, who plays as a midfielder for Manchester United F.C. and England national football team. Although born in Canada, Hargreaves began Owen Hargreaves professional football career in Germany with FC Bayern Munich. After seven years with the Munich side – during which time Owen Hargreaves won four German league titles and the 2001 UEFA Champions League – Hargreaves signed for Manchester United in 2007, and won the Premier League and UEFA Champions League in Owen Hargreaves first season there. Hargreaves versatility has seen him feature in more games than he otherwise would, slotting in at right back when we’ve seen injuries to the defence, and played on the right wing for the European Cup final.
The midfielder is now back at Old Trafford after surgery at the clinic of renowned knee specialist Richard Steadman in the United States. Hargreaves believes many players would have fallen by the wayside but for the magic of Steadman and his squad of experts in Colorado, where 16,000 knees have been repaired.
