Caroline Wozniacki born 11 July 1990 is a Danish professional tennis player. She is the current World No. 1 on the WTA Tour. As of 23 May 2011, she has held this position for 32 weeks. She is the first Danish tennis player to hold the top ranking position and 20th overall. Since her WTA debut in 2005, she has improved her year-end ranking each year until finishing on top in 2010. She has won 16 WTA singles titles as of May 2011, three in 2008, three in 2009, six in 2010 (the most since Justine Henin's ten in 2007), and four in 2011. She was runner-up at the 2009 US Open and the 2010 WTA Tour Championships in Doha to Kim Clijsters. She won the 2006 Wimbledon Girls' Singles, but has yet to win a Women's Grand Slam title. She also holds two WTA titles in doubles.

Wozniacki's playing style centers "around the defensive aspects of tennis with her anticipation, movement, agility, footwork and defence all first-rate and key parts of her game." Her two-handed backhand is one of the best in the game due to her ability to turn defense into offense. Her defensive playing style has her contemporaries label her a counter-puncher.

Christian Dannemann Eriksen (born 14 February 1992 in Middelfart) is a Danish professional football player, currently playing as an attacking midfielder for Dutch side Ajax Amsterdam. He previously played for Odense Boldklub, and was named 2008 Danish U-17 Talent of the Year, before signing for Ajax in October 2008. He made his debut for the Danish national team in March 2010, and was the youngest player of the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. He has been nominated to win the 2010 Danish "Talent of the Year" award.

Christian Eriksen started playing football in his hometown Middelfart before his third birthday. In 2005 he switched to Odense Boldklub (OB), who competed in the Danish youth championships. His team lost the semi-final against Brøndby IF, but afterwards he was named "Best Technical Player" of the tournament. The following year OB won the tournament, when Eriksen scored the only goal in the final. After some good performances for OB's U-16 team and later on U-19 team and the Danish U-17 team, major European football clubs including Chelsea and Barcelona began to take notice.

According to Algemeen Dagblad, AC Milan prepares to bid to recruit young Ajax Amsterdam midfielder Christian Eriksen. Eriksen become one of the Ajax players mainstay since its debut in January 2010. Danish teenagers aged 18 this year brought in Ajax from Odense in 2008. For coach Frank de Boer, Eriksen could match the quality of alumni Ajax, Wesley Sneijder.

Milan have not made a formal offer, but predicted a top Italian club's transfer proposal was worth € 11 million. Ajax unlikely willing to release this winter Eriksen. Jérémy Mathieu (born 29 October 1983 in Luxeuil-les-Bains) is a French football player who currently plays for La Liga side Valencia CF in Spain. He primarily operates in the left back position, but can also play as a winger on the same side. He can also, in some situations, play as a defensive midfielder. On 10 June 2009, it was announced that Jérémy will be Unai Emery's first signing of the summer for Spanish giants Valencia after securing the left back on a three-year deal. The transfer came into effect on 1 July 2009.

He made his debut for the club in a 2-0 win over Sevilla FC.
Jérémy has received caps with all of France's youth teams beginning with the U-15s. Amauri Carvalho de Oliveira (born 3 June 1980), better known as Amauri, is a football player with dual Brazilian and Italian citizenship who plays as a striker for Serie A club Juventus. Italy was scheduled to play two World Cup warm-up friendlies in June, who would feature players from a 30-men preliminary squad to be announced on 11 May, thus making Amauri unable to be featured in any of such friendly games without receiving a call-up to join such preliminary squad. Yoann Miguel Gourcuff (born 11 July 1986) is a French professional football player who currently plays for Ligue 1 club Bordeaux and the French national team. He operates mainly as an attacking midfielder, but can also be utilized as a withdrawn striker.

Yoann is the son of Christian Gourcuff, the current manager of Ligue 1 club FC Lorient, where Yoann began his career.In 2001, he followed in his father's footsteps and joined Rennes. After progressing through the youth ranks and making the senior team, Gourcuff quickly became a fan favorite among supporters and his individual achievements soon led to interest from clubs abroad, which resulted in a move to Italian club AC Milan. Gourcuff achieved many club honours despite not being able to break into the starting eleven, which resulted in the player being sent on loan to his current club Bordeaux.Following a successful season, in which he earned several club and individuals honours, Gourcuff signed with Bordeaux permanently. His playing style and ability have drawn comparisons to French legend Zinedine Zidane.Gourcuff is a former winner of the UNFP Ligue 1 Player of the Year award and, in December 2009, was named the French Player of the Year.

Gourcuff is a French international and made his national team debut in August 2008. He scored his first international goal two months later against Romania. Since joining the national team, he has been inserted into the playmaker role by coach Raymond Domenech, a position that was vacated and never filled following the retirement of Zidane in 2006.
